Let's Rock the World!
Born in Switzerland, Andy grew up in California, where he learned how to play the Guitar at first by himself. His greatest inspiration came from listening to Chicago, The Eagles and James Taylor.
He learned to play the Guitar at the age of 9 and later engaged in formal training from some of the leading mentors in their field, which inspired him to pursue a music career and graduate from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston USA. Andy participated in several bands ranging from Classical Music, Jazz and Rock. His first hit was with his band Human Radio in 1989. The song "All my Life" made it into the Swiss Charts and climbed to top positions in charts all over Europe. His solo album "Forever" was released in Europe and South America in 2001. The Latin version "Nunca Mas", based on the English version of Forever, was translated by Ivon Rojas.
The latest project "The New School" started in 2015 in Zurich and marks a renaissance of summed up songs of the past and stunning arrangements of new Pop and Rock Genres. Andy calls it short "NEWSCOOL".
André joins Preludium in September 2019.
The new «kid» on stage brings in a bunch of passion to the rhythm section. Around 2001, Swiss born André decided to transition from guitar to bass with the help of legendary teacher Hugo Kunz.
After performing occasionally in a church band, he joined his first permanent band back in 2009. In parallel to a busy international job, he spent the years with playing in a cover band. Now he is after the "Real Deal".
A reorientation in life set the foundation to make a next step not only in music but to pick up studies as well. Having had the chance to work closely with Andy in business life, André is thrilled to share the passion for emotional rock and pop music.
Rolf grew up in a very musical family in the Swiss Engadin. His father was a passionate saxophonist and his older sisters played Hammond organ and harmonica. Encouraged by his family, he also started playing Hammond organ at an early age. A short time later he joined the Pontresina Music Association where he played the trumpet.
